Julie Shipp is a Dallas-based artist and curator, with a studio focus in painting and mixed media.

After completing a BFA in Drawing/Painting and a BFA in Art History, both from the University of North Texas, Julie earned her MFA in Painting from the University of Texas at San Antonio. 

​

A longtime college professor and gallery director, Julie's studio interests extend into curatorial projects that contribute to an interdisciplinary dialogue in the visual and performing arts communities.

Shipp is also an advocate for Sarcoma awareness and  educating the general public about disabilities related to rare medical conditions, from a patient perspective.
